DH Painter & Decorator repaints commercial interiors around Hunsbury Meadows, mainly offices, receptions, meeting rooms and welfare areas in the Swan Valley and Prologis Park Pineham distribution parks. We are based in Northampton, about 2.2 miles away, and work within each site's induction and safety rules.
The estate itself has no shops, but its neighbours are busy
Hunsbury Meadows is a residential estate, and it has no shops or parades of its own. The nearest parade, with a Co-op, a cafe and a fish bar, is in Pineham Village off Dragonfly Way. That falls in the same parish but is covered on its own area page. The commercial work near Hunsbury Meadows is to the west and south, in two large distribution parks. Swan Valley holds the Royal Mail South Midlands Mail Centre, Carlsberg Tetley, Levi Strauss, Morrisons and other warehouses along Tithe Barn Way, Cob Drive and Upton Valley Way East. Prologis Park Pineham has Sainsbury’s, BMW, Seko and others on Nectar Way and Style Way. M1 junction 15A and the Northampton motorway services sit at the southern tip of the parish.
What we paint on a distribution site

Warehouse sheds are clad in profiled steel, and recoating cladding at that scale is specialist industrial work. We are a painter and decorator, not a cladding coatings contractor, so we will say so plainly if that is what you need. The part of a distribution building we do take on is the human side: the office block, the reception, the meeting rooms, the canteen, the driver welfare room and the corridors in between. Those spaces get heavy use from shift workers and visiting drivers, and they show it in scuffed corridors, marked canteen walls and tired reception areas. We put a durable, washable finish where the wear is. In kitchens and canteens that means a moisture-resistant, wipeable coating. On corridor walls that carry trolleys and boots, a scrubbable finish or a darker band at low level hides marks between repaints.
- Offices, meeting rooms and open-plan desks
- Reception and visitor areas
- Canteens, kitchens and rest rooms
- Driver welfare rooms and gatehouse interiors
- Stairwells, corridors, doors and frames in the office block
Working inside a site that never stops
A distribution centre keeps moving while we work. Before starting, we would expect to attend your site induction, and we can supply a risk assessment and method statement for the job. We follow your rules on parking, vehicle routes, high-visibility clothing and signing in at the gatehouse. Rather than closing an office floor, we work room by room in agreed daytime slots, so desks can be moved into one area while the next is painted. We use low-odour water-based paints so people can keep working nearby. DH Painter & Decorator is fully insured, and we can provide the details your facilities manager needs for their contractor records.
Getting to Swan Valley and Pineham from Northampton

From the town centre, the business parks are a short run out past Hunsbury Meadows on the south-west edge of town. Distribution sites of this size usually have their own car parks and gatehouses, so the access problems we plan for on the estate’s residential closes don’t arise. Instead, the planning is about booking the right slot at the gate, keeping the van out of HGV lanes, and carrying materials through the right door. For an office refurbishment or a one-off repaint of a reception before an audit or visit, let us know your dates early. Dean will come and look at the space, confirm what the site requires, and give you a written quote.
Our main commercial painting page covers the wider service, and our Hunsbury Meadows page covers the residential estate next door. If you are choosing between contractors, our guide on how to choose a painter and decorator lists the questions to ask.
